The Social Justice Committee and Racial Justice sub-Committee of UUCSR invite you to come along with us for a day trip to the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County in Glen Cove, NY.
The Center is located at the Welwyn Preserve, 100 Crescent Beach Road, Glen Cove, NY 11542 and is devoted to inspiring future generations to build a better, more compassionate world through education.
If you would like to carpool from UUCSR, meet at 12noon in the UUCSR parking lot at the front of the main building. If you need a ride, please call Patti Paris at (516) 996-5724 or you can drive yourself and meet for the tour which begins promptly at 1:00 PM.
This deeply moving program includes a guided tour through the Museum’s 6 galleries, beginning with a brief history of anti-Semitism and its lead up to the Second World War, and ending with a look at genocide and intolerance today with a modern perspective by teaching lessons that combat hatred, intolerance and bullying.
Please register early and invite friends.
Program is FREE. Registration link is HERE-https://uucsr.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3280743
