Youth Advisor Training

Saturday, April 11th 9 AM – 1PM in the Veatch House at UUCSR 

Program Overview:

• Duration: 4 hours
• Target Audience: Current and prospective UU youth advisors
• Maximum Participants: 20-25

Learning Objectives:

• Understand adolescent development through a UU lens
• Master safety protocols and mandatory reporting requirements
• Develop inclusive programming strategies
• Build skills in crisis intervention and active listening
• Create covenant-based youth group management techniques

Proposed Schedule:

• Hour 1: Foundations of UU Youth Ministry
• Hour 2: Understanding Teen Development & Mental Health
• Hour 3: Creating Safe & Inclusive Spaces
• Hour 4: Practical Scenarios & Resource Building
